What: Street named after Knut Hamsun
Where: Knut Hamsunsgate, 8450 Stokmarknes, Norway
Here it is: From the centre you drive on Søndregate (E10) towards the hospital (south-east). Just after the hospital you turn off to the right on Ivar Bergsmogate. First street to the left is Knut Hamsuns gate. Please note: The streetsigns are sitting on the walls of the houses!
Perhaps not the longest street named after a Nobel-price winner, but very idyllic and with fine well-kept houses!
"By the way, he said, this was a rotten market in comparison to what he was used to, it was impossible to find a Revolver." (August about the market in Stokmarknes from "Wanderers".)
